Wiki Project Med Foundation is organizing the event as a day of talks and discussions regarding what wiki community contributors have worked on in 2016/2017 and where Wikipedians are hoping to go next. The event is open to everyone, including hard core Wikipedians or those simply thinking about dipping toes in the water. It will precede Wikimania 2017 at the same venue in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

I was pretty bold in taking two spots now, however I feel I have quite a lot to contribute. Feel free to move these around. They don't really tie together that well, so I want them separated. However it isn't certain I really need 30 minutes for each either. I'll update this page when I have a better idea of what amount of time I need.
Maybe each as a 15 min piece? It will partly depend on how many of our potential speakers will be able to attend. Doc James (talk) 13:51, 18 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Would work well, but if possible I'd like them separate. CFCF (talk) 14:03, 23 January 2017 (UTC

Main conference

The medicine day has a different organizing committee from the main conference. The main conference will also include presentations about medicine with the following submissions:

These session may occur during both the Wiki Med Day and Wikimania. The latter would have a broader audience and would introduce the people to the idea of WikiJournals and how people from different branches could collaborate to form peer-reviewed journals in their own fields and how they could built upon the prototype that has already been built. On the other hand, the presentation at Wiki Project Med could be customized to the context of WikiJournal of Medicine and the role it could play. Diptanshu.D (talk) 09:07, 28 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Pending

  • RCT comparing Wikipedia to other medical resources (???)
  • Oriya Wikipedia (Subhas Chandra Rout) -> pending visa application
