I stared contributing to Wikimedia Commons by using my mobile phone. Last year we bought a camera for the Punjabi Wikimedians User Group and I started taking pictures with it. But something was not right. I clicked some good images (that's what I thought) but none of them were promoted to Quality Images and I guess there were a lot of issues.
I would like to talk about my small journey on Wikimedia Commons and how the collaborative nature of our movement lead me to contribute better images. Now, I have at least 23 Quality Images, 3 Valued Images and 1 Featured Picture. (I know these numbers might not mean a lot but I have cherished every moment when a picture was promoted and also when a picture was declined promotion as that has taught me a lot of things)

Attendees will learn basics of Photography that can help them take better pictures. Also, they will learn about our lovely global community.
