This BoF is targeted at developers of any experience level who use (or want to use) the Wikimedia Tool Labs environment to host software beneficial to the Wikimedia movement. Potential topics of discussion include:
  • Shared services missing from the Tool Labs environment
  • Promoting your tools to potential users
  • Best practices for solving common problems
  • Attracting co-maintainers
  • How to gracefully step away from a tool when you lose interest
  • Practical implications of the right to fork policy
  • Choosing a license
  • Discussion of how to act together as a community

  • Connections with each other and Wikimedia Cloud Services staff.
  • Ideas about how to move forward on blocking problems
