Talk:Submissions/Documenting Activism as a Form of Political Resistance
Latest comment: 7 years ago by RightCowLeftCoast in topic Support from non attendee
- Primary target group: All
- Critical issue: Not sure.
- Cross-Wiki significance: Yes
- Abstract: May be too complex to be understood by the average Wikimania participant.
- May be duplicating other projects/outsourced research.
- Concept: Insufficiently broad to concern all language Wikpedias. My well find significant resonance among the stated social interest groups.
- Other concerns: Not sure if this is of sufficient core interest for a Wikimania. Presenter may possibly not be a regular contriubutor to Wikipedia or Wikimedia Foundation projects.
Activism or Content
Is this a discussion of documenting the activism or adding content that is neutral? IN DC chapter, we had an edit-o-thon to relink cites to reliable sources that the dot gov site no longer supported. Geraldshields11 (talk) 14:50, 21 March 2017 (UTC)

Count me interested in the outcome of this submission. Will content relating to opposition to the Trump Administration, meet the same resistance as say efforts to document the Tea Party movement? How does such editing relate to WP:ADVOCATE/WP:SOAPBOX? How can one neutrally present a topic, while not advancing the topics motives, or stay neutral given that there is a documented bias in media sources? These questions and more intrigue me.--RightCowLeftCoast (talk) 06:10, 10 May 2017 (UTC)
