In July 2015, Women in Red was launched at Wikimania Mexico City. In May 2016, it became the most active WikiProject in English Wikipedia. In November 2016, Women in Red was shortlisted for the ITU/United Nations' Women's GEM-TECH award in the category "Apply Technology for Women’s Empowerment and Digital Inclusion". In this presentation, we will describe:
- use of technology in our work
- our safe space methods, which have made our talkpages a harassment-free zone
- how we plan for and coordinate our work
- on-wiki outreach
- social media, including Twitter, Pinterest, and Facebook campaigns
- press, including podcasts, interviews, OpEd
- replicating our project's mission, vision, and values on 11 other language Wikipedias
- collaborations with international campaigns, including UN Women HerStory and BBC100Women

En juillet 2015, nous avons crée á Mexico le projet "Women in Red" (Femmes en rouge, ce qui désigne les titres d'articles qui manquent encore). En mai 2016, cette initiative devient le WikiProject le plus populaire de la version anglaise de Wikipédia. En novembre 2016, Women in Red est présélectionné pour le prix GEM-TECH de l'UIT en catégorie "Applications de la technologie pour l'autonomisation de la femme et l'inclusion numérique". Notre présentation abordera:
- L'utilisation de la technologie dans ce contexte
- Notre approche "zone neutre", qui sauvegarde nos pages discussion et les protège contre tout harcèlement
- La planification et la coordination de nos travaux
- Nos services et ambitions inter-wiki
